Coming Home!!

So I'm finally coming home!! My flight is due to land in Victoria on May 20th, at 11:40 pm. Taylor, unfortunately is not coming with me because he has to work. I'm so sad, I'll miss him and Gus. But I can't wait to put my toes in the ocean, and eat REAL seafood (the stuff here, like Red Lobster, just sucks!! It's not the same) being landlocked on all four sides is a bummer. I can't wait to actually see living, green plants, and have the speed limit be slower (no more angry drivers for me!) I just can't wait!

Edwards Wedding 12.15.2007

We woke up the morning of our wedding to see a white blanket covering the entire world. It was the coldest day of the year, and I was afraid that I would turn into a bridesicle! Taylor and I drove the the LDS Temple in Denver, and we were the first wedding of the day. After the ceremony we came out and took our pictures and there were no footprints in the snow. It was so perfect.
We had our reception in the Elizabeth LDS Church. Donca decorated the room with miniature trees with lights. It was so beautiful, it looked like a winter wonderland.

Keeping in Touch

Taylor and I (mostly I) started this blog to keep in touch with our family far away from us. This is such a great idea, we should have started it a long time ago.
So new stuff with us goes as follows: We moved out of Taylor's parent's house in February. We love our little apartment. I wish it had a pantry, and more closet space, but it's our home and we love it.
We also got a cat!! Oh we love our Gus Kitten. He's probably the silliest and clumsiest cat that I've ever seen. We definitely can't remember life without him.
I finally got my Permanent Residency, so I can come home for a visit (probably in a month). Our lawyer came with us to the interview, and she told us about an interviewing officer who yelled at people and told them that they were criminals. Taylor and I prayed that we didn't get him, but we did. Needless to say, he was THE NICEST person. He didn't raise his voice to us, he joked with us and told us some stories about his family. He barely asked us any questions. I was ready to prove that Taylor and I had a legitimate marriage, and that we had a life together. I had our lease agreement, our bank account statements, you name it.. I even had wedding pictures and emails from before we were married!!! We were prepared to talk about our daily routine, and the layout of our apartment. The interview was a great success, and I'm waiting to receive my card in the mail!!
It's 81 degrees today, and they're finally cleaning out the pool. Hopefully this weekend we'll be able to go swimming!!!
